Great Valley junior defender/LSM Joey Ward has committed to play Division I lacrosse at the University of Denver.

Why did you choose Denver? “Denver seems to be the perfect fit both athletically and academically for me, with an unbelievable coaching staff, and a great team atmosphere.”
What is your outlook for your high school team? “We have a very positive outlook for next season bringing in what we think is one of the best defenses in the state with some exceptional offensive weapons to go along with it.”
Additional comments: “I would first like to thank my parents who gave me tons of support throughout this process. I would also like to thank my high school coach, Tony Verna, and club coaches; Jim Schorn, and Brett Moyer who supported me and provided me guidance through the process.”
