The Philly-based Old Dogs open play today in Master’s and Grand Master’s divisions at the annual Lake Placid (N.Y.) Lacrosse tournament.

The Old Dogs are playing at Lake Placid – one of the summer’s most popular events – for the 11th year.
The team has players from Eastern Pennsylvania and Central PA as well as several from Virginia. The Grand Master’s team, the Grand Old Dogs, opens vs. High Peaks at noon. The Master’s club opens vs. Atlantic Sportswear at 4:30 p.m.
The Old Dogs placed fifth in the Grand Master’s Division and 11th in the Master’s Division last year. The best Old Dogs had their best finishes in 2009 when the Grand Master’s team was third and the Master’s squad was fifth.
