Phillylacrosse.com Boys’ Team Honorable Mention Coaches of the Year for 2011:

Brian Samson, Conestoga - Led Pioneers (25-1) to second straight Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association title, third straight berth in state finals, third straight District 1 championship and the Central League crown. Team finished ranked No. 2, 3 or 4 in the country in every major media outlet.

Tommy Hannum, Downingtown West -
Led Whippets (20-3) to second straight Ches-Mont League title and first outright crown, and berth in District 1 semifinals and PIAA tourney.

Kevin Donnelly, Spring-Ford -
Led Rams (20-4) to Pioneer Athletic Conference championship and berth in District 1 quarterfinals.

Eric Gregg, St. Joseph’s Prep -
Led Hawks (19-5) to first Catholic League championship in seven years and berth in PIAA finals.

Pat Ryan, New Hope-Solebury: Guided Lions – who were 0-19 when he took over in 2008 – to 16-2 record and Bicentennial Athletic League championship with undefeated mark.

2010 – Boys’ Team Coach of the Year: Brady McCormick, Upper Merion
2010 – Girls’ Team Coach of the Year: Phyllis Kilgour, Radnor
