Men’s recruit: Salesianum School (DE) rising senior attackman Walker commits to Marist College

Salesianum School (DE) rising senior attackman Dillon Walker has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Marist College.

Dillon Walker has committed to Marist College

Walker, of Media, Pa., had 49 goals and 37 assists and was named All-State and All-American this year while helping the Sals claim the Delaware state championship. He plays club lacrosse for the Duke’s L.C and Team 302.

Walker earned 1st honors every quarter this year and has served as class treasurer the past two years.

“I chose Marist for the educational opportunities it opens for me,” Walker said. “The facilities are amazing and brand new, and the coaching staff was very welcoming. I enjoyed the upbeat practice style that I got a glimpse of in the winter.”

Walker said it was a thrill to contribute to a state championship. Salesianum finished the year 16-1 and defeated Tower Hill, 7-5, in the title game after bowing to Tower Hill in the 2010 finals.

“Looking back on our championship season, I couldn’t be more proud of how hard our team worked to get the trophy back,” he said. “Everybody did a great job of playing their roles to make our team run smoothly.

“Overall we had some young guys step up and follow the lead of our seniors captains who did a great job of running disciplined practices all year long.”
