Halley Barnes had four goals and an assist to lead host Garnet Valley to an 11-6 victory today over Villa Maria Academy in the second round of the District 1 girls’ lacrosse tournament.
The third-seeded Jaguars (18-2) advance to the quarterfinals Saturday at West Chester East (2 p.m.) against Council Rock North, which stunned two-time defending state champion Radnor, 15-14.
Kara Stroup and AnnaElise Morello each had two goals and an assist for Garnet Valley. Kate Stroup made eight saves in goal.
Elise Bendinelli led Villa Maria (14-5) with five goals and Kerry Schubert made 12 saves.
