Host Downingtown West held a 6-5 lead over Avon Grove tonight with 4 minutes, 56 seconds to play in regulation when the Ches-Mont League first-place showdown was suspended due to lightning.
The contest will be continued on Monday at 3:45 p.m.
The host Whippets (14-1) came into play as the only team in the league with an undefeated mark (8-0). Avon Grove (12-1) is tied for second with a 7-1 mark.
Dylan Ikkala has two goals and Dustin Keen 12 saves for Downingtown West, which led, 4-3, at halftime and 6-3 after three periods. Brad Shenberger has a goal and an assist and Jim Sharer, Matt Logan and Tyler McWilliams also have scored.
Damian Sobieski leads the Devils with two goals, while Tanner Peck has a goal and an assist and Matthew King and Eric Waibel each have a goal. Tommy Malone has six saves.
