Thursday’s boys’ roundup: L. Merion tops Harriton; GA cruises

Cooper Eisenhard had three goals and one assist while Max Golden, Chris Daly and Craig Markman each scored twice as visiting Lower Merion earned a 10-6 victory today over cross-town rival Harriton in Central League boys’ lacrosse.

The Aces improved to 3-6 in the league and 6-9 overall as goalie Eli Newschaffer made eight saves.

Zach Fink led the Rams (1-13, 0-9) with three goals, Avery Levonuk scored twice and Haddon Corbett scored once.

Germantown Academy 13 Upper Dublin 1

Billy Oppenheimer collected four goals and two assists and Beau Jones added three goals and three assists while Jake Adoni made nine saves as GA improved to 14-2 with the non-league win.

Council Rock North 9, Neshaminy 8

Tyler Shablin scored four goals and Chris Gifford had two goals and two assists to help the Indians rally from a 6-2 deficit and claim the National Conference win.

Alex McKenzie had 4 goals for the Redskins and Austin Marshal had 18 saves.

St. Joseph’s Prep 18, Archbishop Carroll 3

Fenton Fitzpatrick scored four goals while Brad James and Tim O’Rourke each had three goals for the Hawks in the Catholic League win.

Methacton 8, Phoenixville 0

The Warriors improved to 11-5 (9-4 in PAC-10) as Clay Sobocinski scored three goals and had one assist and Sean Aronow scored twice and added an assist to help Ryan Murphy (seven saves) earn his first shutout.

Cody Ridgway scored twice and Gabe Ferraro added a single tally.
