Wednesday’s PAC-10 girls’ roundup: Methacton, Boyertown win to set up showdown today

Methacton set the stage for its Pioneer Athletic Conference girls lacrosse showdown with Boyertown by pounding Pottsgrove 19-2 Wednesday afternoon.

Anna Marie Warrington collected five goals while Emily Kellett had a hat trick and four assists for the Warriors (7-0 league, 9-1 overall), who host the Bears today at 3:45 in a showdown of the PAC-10 leaders.

Boyertown 21, Pope John Paul II 2

The Bears kept their end of the bargain, riding into today’s battle at Methacton by walloping the Golden Panthers.

Boyertown (7-4, 7-0) rolled to a 17-0 lead by intermission and never looking back with Rachel Engler, Kelly Furman and Kate DeHaven all scoring hat tricks.

Spring-Ford 14, Pottstown 8

The Rams improved to 6-3 in the PAC-10 Liberty behind Maddie Ward’s five goals and one assist while Cassidy Novotny made 12 saves.

Milan White led the Trojans (4-4, 4-8) with five goals.

Phoenixville 13, Owen J. Roberts 6

Britney Rohall (two assists) and Shannan McErlean each scored four goals and Marlee Farbstein added three more to lift the Phantoms (4-4, 4-8 overall) at CAT-Pickering.

Kelsey Dielman scored twice for the Wildcats, who fell to 3-6 in the league, 3-8 overall. Also scoring goals for OJR were Whitney Wilkinson, Jordyn Shoemaker, Devin Hassinger and Emily Kolsevich (2 assists). Meredith Lawler recorded eight saves in goal for OJR.

Perkiomen Valley 19, Coatesville 6

Amber Gansz scored seven goals to pace the Vikings to the non-league win.

Rachel McDonald tallied three goals for Coatesville.
