Monday’s boys’ roundup: Penncrest tops Sun Valley; HGP, Methacton, Strath Haven win

Matt Kolarska had two goals and an assist and Sean Mingry and Will Manganevo each scored two goals to pace visiting Penncrest to an 8-4 victory over Sun Valley Monday in a non-league boys’ lacrosse game.

The Lions improved to 4-5.

Brian Warren scored three goals and AJ Newman made 14 saves for the Vanguards (3-5).

Holy Ghost Prep 6, Lansdale Catholic 5, OT

Kevin Moses scored two goals as the Firebirds won the non-league game.

Kevin Edling and Rich Walsh each had two goals and an assist for the Crusaders while Chad Adams made 18 saves.


Methacton 9, Boyertown 3

Sean Aronow scored three goals while Clay Sobocinski added two goals and two assists for the Warriors. Scott Markle scooped a team high ix ground balls for Methacton.

Strath Haven 16, Monsignor Bonner 0

Mitch Cross (one assist), Cole Kennedy and Keith Decindis each scored twice and Bryan Mitchell added a goal and four assists for the Panthers in the shutout win.
