Wednesday’s girls’ high school roundup: Boyertown, Villa Maria, Hill School, Abington, Barrack, Baldwin earn wins

Rachel Engler collected four goals to lead Boyertown to a 13-7 Pioneer Athletic Conference girls’ lacrosse victory over Upper Perkiomen Wednesday.

Kelly Furman (assist), Lauren Mengel and Gabby Genuario added two goals apiece as the Bears improved to 5-0 in the Liberty Conference, 5-3 overall.

The Indians fell to 3-3 in the Frontier Division, 4-4 overall despite a hat trick by Leah High.

Villa Maria Academy 11, Sacred Heart CDS 5

Catherine Bendinelli had three goals and an assist while Michelle Dunn scored three goals and Elise Bendinelli and Jenna Mertz each had two goals and two assists for VMA in the Catholic Academies win.

Stephanie Finley and Eileen Dombrowski each tallied five goals for Sacred Heart.

Hill School 19, Germantown Academy 15

Megan Kelly pumped in seven goals to lead the Blues to the non-league win.

Brooke Kiley also had seven goals for GA while Caroline Haynie and Kelli Stack each tallied three.

Abington 13, Council Rock South 6

Molly Seifried collected four goals and four assists and Elisa Macall tallied three goals topace the Ghosts to the Suburban One National win.

Leanne Hurley and Christine Besselman each scored a pair for CR South.

Barrack HA 15, Collegium Charter 5

Caroline Batoff had six goals and Sivan Ben-Maimon added five as Barrack eased to the Tri-County League win and improved to 7-1.

Deja O’Riordan and Jen Mikula each scored two for Collegium.

Baldwin School 18, Agnes Irwin 10

Sloan Warren collected seven goals, two assists, four ground balls, two forced turnovers and two interceptions to pace the Bears to the Inter-Ac win.

Hilary Gray (3G, 1A, 3GB, 1INT), Ali Thaler (3G, 1A), Jennie Wigrizer (2G, 3A),
Arden Simone (1G, 6GB, 5FT) and Val Cohen (13 saves) also keyed the victory.

Pennsbury 15, Neshaminy 4

Liz Cowley had four goals and two assists while Taylor Hickman and Kelsy Gumbert each had three goals and an assist for the Falcons in the Suburban One National victory.

Brittany Sheenan scored two goals to lead the Redskins.
