Monday’s PAC-10 boys’ roundup: Spring-Ford remains on top by downing Methacton; PV, OJR, Pottsgrove win

Brian Bock scored a hat trick and Spring-Ford used a fast start to stay perfect in five Pioneer Athletic Conference boys lacrosse outings with an 11-7 victory over Methacton Monday night.

Zach Monzo, Thomas Pham, Paul Major and Max Ullmann added two goals apiece for the Rams (6-1 overall), who bolted out to a 7-1 lead after one quarter and were never challenged.

Methacton (3-2 league, 4-3) got two goals apiece from Sam McAdoo and Clay Sobocinski.

Perkiomen Valley 7, Boyertown 5

The Vikings scored three unanswered goals in the fourth quarter and Bryce Womak collected 30 saves in their PAC-10 road victory.

Pete Sclafani had the hat trick and Wes Johnson added one goal and two assists for PV, which improved to 2-2 in the league, 4-2 overall. Alex Millard had a pair of goals for Boyertown (2-3 league, 3-3 overall).

Owen J. Roberts 19, Phoenixville 2

The Wildcats got four goals apiece from Kohl Batdorf and Ryan Kent to raise their PAC-10 slate to 5-1 (5-3 overall). Other key offensive contributors for OJR were John Pennell (three goals, three assists) and Tyler Graham (three goals, assist).

The Phantoms fell to 0-4, 1-5 despite a strong effort in net from Nick Lolli (18 saves).

Pottsgrove 8, Pope John Paul 4

The Falcons doubled up on the Golden Panthers behind Matt Natale (five goals) and Riley Michaels (goal, assist).

Nick Pollick found the range twice for PJP, which got 21 saves and a trio of assists from Matt Bildstein.
