Central Bucks South junior Madeline DiBrino has been named the Phillylacrosse.com Female Scholar-Athlete of the Week.

Central Bucks South's Madeline DiBrino

DiBrino has been a standout on the field and in the classroom. This National Honor Society member has achieved distinguished honors every marking period while sporting a 4.1 GPA.

A member of the National Honor Society (NHS), she also is on Titan Council and Operation Enduring Gratitude and has served as a People to People Student Ambassador. She also has coached youth lacrosse for the Doylestown Athletic Association and performed other community service with NHS.

“In NHS we have to do a lot of community service and I love it,” she said. DiBrino and her classmates in NHS spend a lot of time at Neshaminy Manor: “I know it makes their life happier and I enjoy hearing the stories they share with me.”

“I am always striving to do well and I never accept anything lower than an A,” DiBrino added. Her work ethic can be attributed to her father, whom she listed as her role model.

On the field, DiBrino, a defender, earned Second Team All Suburban One Continental Conference honors last year. Also, DiBrino was selected to play in the Gait Fab 40 All-Star Game at the Philly Showcase held at Episcopal Academy last November.

DiBrino plans to major in Hospitality and Event Planning and is considering Temple, James Madison, Drexel and St. Joseph’s, among others. DiBrino is unsure if she will play lacrosse in college, and is looking for a school that will best suit her athletically and academically.
