Thursday’s Division I roundup: Wolf (L. Merion) nets 4 to lead Duke; Foley (Gwynedd Mercy) tallies 7 for Louisville

Freshman Jordan Wolf (Lower Merion) had his third hat trick in the past four games to propel Duke to a 14-9 Atlantic Coast Conference win over host North Carolina Thursday in men’s lacrosse.

The No. 7 Blue Devils improved to 5-2 overall and 2-0 in the ACC. Wolf has 11 goals this year.

Also, sophomore goalie Dan Wigrizer (Haverford School) had 11 saves and sophomore defenseman Billy Conners (Malvern Prep) had three groundballs for Duke.

The Tar Heels, ranked No. 8, fell to 5-2 and 0-1 in the ACC.

Women
Louisville 19, Sacred Heart 8

Bergan Foley (Gwynedd Mercy Academy) scored seven goals and Colleen O’Malley (Great Valley) added a pair for the winning Cardinals.

George Mason 14, Columbia 13, OT

Emily Ellisen (Great Valley) had four goals for GM. Olivia Mann (Germantown Academy) had three goals and an assist for Columbia.

Cal 13, Navy 6

Aimee Gennaro (Archbishop Carroll) had two goals and an assist for the Mids in defeat.
