The La Salle University lacrosse program is pleased to announce its 2010-2011 schedule. The Explorers will play in several fall tournaments before beginning spring competition at home against Delaware on February 19.
La Salle hosts Iona on February 23 and hits the road for the first time for a February 26 contest against Lafayette. When Villanova visits McCarthy Stadium on March 4, the Explorers will look to take down the Wildcats for the third year in a row.
La Salle will travel the furthest in 2011 to play Presbyterian in Clinton, SC during a swing down south over spring break. During that same trip, the Explorers will also meet Davidson, who reached the 2010 National Lacrosse Conference Tournament finals.
Upon their return, the Explorers will match up against Monmouth and Drexel. California, a 2010 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Tournament semifinalist, will visit from the West Coast for La Salle’s final non-conference game on March 25.
Atlantic 10 plays begins on April 1 for the Explorers at St. Joseph’s. La Salle will host Massachusetts and Richmond before a three-game road trip to face George Washington, St. Bonaventure and Duquesne.
Senior Day will be on April 21 as La Salle hosts Temple in its last regular season game.
The Atlantic 10 Championships will be hosted by Temple this year from April 29-May 1. The Explorers look to return to the tournament again this year after earning a No. 2 seed last season.
