Four Philly attackmen listed among nation’s Top 20 by ESPN RISE

Penn Charter’s Joey Sankey (No. 4), La Salle’s Kevin Forster (No. 6), Haverford School’s Carl Walrath (No. 10) and Germantown Academy’s Beau Jones (No. 19), have been named among the top senior attackman in the country by ESPN RISE in its weekly “On the RISE” feature released today.

Sankey, Forster and Walrath earned US Lacrosse All-American, All-Eastern Pennsylvania Scholastic Lacrosse Association and Phillylacrosse.com honors. They also were chosen to participate in the ESPN RISE Warrior 40 event. Sankey (committed to North Carolina) and Walrath (Virginia) also played for Team Philly in the Under Armour Underclassmen Games.

Forster has committed to Maryland.

Sankey, Forster and Walrath also were listed by Inside Lacrosse as Young Guns in the magazine’s Top 50 Seniors feature. Sankey was No. 6, Walrath No. 12 and Forster No. 13.

Sankey had 47 goals and 31 assists in 2010. Forster had 41 goals and 34 assists in leading the Explorers to the state finals, while Walrath had 35 goals and 48 assists and helped the Fords tie for the Inter-Ac league championship.

Jones, a First Team All-Inter-Ac pick who collected 41 goals and 36 assists last year, has committed to Delaware.
