Indians, who finished 11-7 and advanced to the District 1 playoffs. Wojt, who plays club lacrosse for Ultimate Goal, was named the team’s defensive MVP last year.

Wojt will join recent Souderton graduate Lindsay Walbrandt at Lock Haven, which won the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference title last year (16-2 overall) and reached the national semifinals under coach Kristen Selvage.

Wojt, an Honor Roll student, plans to major in middle school level education.

“They contacted me and I decided to go and visit the campus,” Wojt said. “I met the coach and some of the teammates and then went up for camp in the summer a fell in love with it.

“Coach Selvage is the nicest coach the school is smaller, so classes are smaller and it’s easier to get attention from teachers. It’s really important for me to get to know teachers.”

Wojt is the third Souderton rising senior to commit to a college. Kirsten Russell (George Mason) and Danielle Notvest (Villanova) have committed to Division I colleges. Wojt is the second Philly girls to commit to Lock Haven; Unionville attack Jill Murray committed during the summer.

Wojt believes Souderton can challenge in the Suburban One next year.

“I think we’ll be really good,” she said. “We’ll lose (just) four seniors this year and most of us have been playing with each since fourth grade.”
