Recent Academy of Notre Dame graduate Katie Hagen (attack) will play Division III lacrosse at Washington & Lee University in Lexington, Va.
Hagen was a four-year letter-winner at Notre Dame and helped the Irish finish 14-5 this year while taking the 10th place in the finals PA Media Rankings. Notre Dame placed second in the Inter-Ac League.
Hagen, an Honor Roll student, is undecided on a major but is leaning toward business and economics.
“I choose W&L because I felt like it was the perfect fit for me,” she said. “I always wanted to go to a small school and W&L has the balance of academics and athletics that I was looking for. I also love the campus and the team/coaches.”
“This past season was very successful,” said Hagen, who played club lacrosse for PA express. “We had an amazing new coach (Erin Cook) and she brought such a positive outlook to the team.
“Our team was so close and we had great camaraderie. Everyone really stepped up this year and played their best and placing second in the inter-ac was awesome and a great end to our successful season. We have come such a long way since my freshman year and over the past few years we have really proved that we are a very strong and talented team.”
