Recent Haverford School graduate Whit Bowles (attackman) will play Division III lacrosse at Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, Va.
Boles was a contributor on a Fords team that shared the Inter-Ac League championship with Malvern Prep and won the Inter-Ac Invitational.
Bowles, who played club lacrosse during the summers for Minnesota Elite, plans to major in business.
“I chose Randolph-Macon College because of the way that the program is run, the coaching staff, and the guys on the team,” said Bowles. “I also like the liberal arts atmosphere, and feel like I will succeed.’
Bowles said it was a thrill to play on a team that went 20-4 with a national schedule and was ranked in the Top 10 in the nation by several media sources.
“Haverford’s 2010 season was extremely memorable,” he said. “It was the best team I have ever played for. Highlights include finishing 20-4, playing Hill Academy in the Big City Classic (at the new Meadowlands, a 21-14 win) and winning the Inter-Ac championship.”
