IWLCA Academic honors: Philadelphia University makes top grade; other Philly schools cited

Philadelphia University was named a Merit squad and was recognized by the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) as one of the top three Division II women’s lacrosse teams in the country for grade point average.

Philadelphia University had a GPA of 3.30, good for second in the country behind Lake Erie College (3.40).

Meanwhile in Division I, Drexel,, La Salle, Lehigh, Penn, Temple and Villanova were recognized as an Academic squad for having a GPA of at least 3.0.

Also in Division II, West Chester earned Academic status while Bryn Mawr, Eastern
Haverford College, Immaculata, Swarthmore and Ursinus earned Academic status in Division III.
