Phillylacrosse.com salutes the accomplishments of the region’s boys’ lacrosse players with Day 3 of its All-Phillylacrosse.com choices. The players were selected with much input from region coaches.

Defenseman

Joe Addona, Springfield-Delco, Sr.

US Lacrosse All-American, All-EPSLA, Central League first-team pick … Defensive anchor to a team that allowed just 4.5 goals per game and won Central League championship while reaching District 1 finals and PIAA quarterfinals … Will play at St. John’s University.

Casey Ikeda, Conestoga, Sr.

US Lacrosse All-American, Under Armour All-American, All-EPSLA, Central League first-team pick … Defensive MVP for team that won second straight District 1 crown and won first PIAA title while placing in top 10 in every national poll … Will play at University of Maryland.

Ryan Kilpatrick, Salesianum School, Jr.

US Lacrosse All-American, All-State (Del.), Under Armour Underclassmen, ESPN Rise Warrior 40 … Also a standout football player, he led team to Delaware state championship game … Has committed to play at University of North Carolina.

Billy McCabe, Spring-Ford, Sr.

All-EPSLA, Pioneer Athletic Conference MVP, first-team PAC-10 pick … Led Rams to 17-3 season and berth in PAC-10 finals … Great reach, is standout on groundballs and sparks transition game … Will play at Cabrini College.

Stephen O’Hara, St. Joseph’s Prep, Sr.

US Lacrosse All-American, All-EPSLA, Catholic League first-team pick … Defensive stopper for a team that posted win over nationally-ranked St. Anthony’s (N.Y.) and finished No. 6 in final PA Media Rankings … Will play at Notre Dame University.

Jackson Place, Episcopal Academy, Sr.

US Lacrosse All-American, All-EPSLA, Inter-Ac League first-team pick, Inter-Ac Co-Most Important Player … Was defensive anchor to a squad that yielded less than five goals per game and helped EA finish 16-6 and receive ranking of in PA Media Rankings while reaching Inter-Ac invitational finals … Will play at Bucknell University.

Long stick midfield

Brian Dailey, Conestoga, Jr.

US Lacrosse All-American, Under Armour Underclassmen, ESPN Rise Warrior 40, All-EPSLA, Central League first-team pick …Was dominant force in transition game and as wing man on face-offs for the District 1 and PIAA state champions, scooping up more than 100 groundballs … Has committed to Duke University.

Mike Bender, Emmaus, Sr.

All-EPSLA, Lehigh Valley Conference MVP, Lehigh Valley Conference first-team pick … Led Green Hornets to LVC and District 11 championships and into quarterfinals of PIAA tourney … Played in adidas All-American Game in 2009 … Will play at Bellarmine University (Ky).

Goalie

Austin Kaut, Springfield-Delco, Sr.

US Lacrosse All-American, All-EPSLA, Central League MVP, Phillylacrosse.com Co-Player of the Year, Central League first-team pick …Saved 71 percent of shots, allowed just 4.5 goals per game and posted 263 saves and was anchor on a team that won the Central League crown and placed second in District 1 tourney … Will play at Penn State University.

Andrew O’Connell, Malvern Prep, Sr.

US Lacrosse All-American, Under Armour All-American, All-EPSLA, Inter-Ac first-team pick …Was dominant force in helping Friars share the Inter-Ac League championship … Will play at the University of North Carolina.
