All-Phillylacrosse.com Girls’ Midfield/Offense 2010

Phillylacrosse.com salutes the accomplishments of the region’s girls’ lacrosse players with Day 1 of its All-Phillylacrosse.com choices. The players were selected with much input from region coaches.

Midfield/Offense Part 1

Shannon Burns, Springfield-Delco, Sr.

US Lacrosse All-American, All-ESPN Rise Champion Showcase, Central League first-team pick … Led Cougars to District 1 and PIAA championship games as well as a share of the Central League title … Collected 85 goals, 20 assists, 65 groundballs and 50 draw controls, and scored 35 goals in nine playoff games …Will play at the University of Delaware.

Margaret Corzel, Merion Mercy, Sr.

US Lacrosse All-American, ESPN Rise Champion Showcase, Athletic Association of Catholic Academies first-team pick … Collected 71 goals, led squad in forced turnovers, ground balls, draw controls, interceptions and blocked shots in leading the Bears to the league championship … Will play the University of North Carolina.

Amy Cross, Upper Dublin, Sr.

US Lacrosse All-American, Academic All-American, All-ESPN Rise Champion Showcase, Suburban One American Conference first-team pick and league MVP … Collected 72 goals (226 for career) and 38 assists in leading Cardinals to undefeated regular season … Will play at Syracuse University.

Kelly Devlin, Downingtown East, Jr.

US Lacrosse All-American, Under Armour Underclassmen Games and Ches-Mont League first-team pick … Had 78 goals and 58 assists, in helping the Cougars finish 19-6 and place fifth in the District 1 tournament while reaching the quarterfinals of the PIAA tourney … Has committed to play at the University of North Carolina.

Alex Duckenfield, Strath Haven, Jr.

Central League first-team, Under Armour Underclassmen Games, Academic All-American pick … Had 64 goals, 42 assists, 100 groundballs and 76 draw controls in leading the Panthers to a share of the Central League title and the only defeat of Radnor … Has committed to play at Vanderbilt University.

Kelyn Freedman, Radnor, Sr.

US Lacrosse All-American, and Academic All-American, Under Armour All-American, Central League first-team pick, MaxPreps National Player of the Year, Phillylacrosse.com Player of the Year, National Tournament Senior MVP, ESPN Rise Champion Showcase team MVP … She collected 90 goals (217 for career), 111 assists (219 for career), 103 groundballs and 106 draw controls in leading the Red Raiders to a share of the Central League title, and the District 1 and PIAA championships … Will play at Georgetown University.

Aimee Gennaro, Archbishop Carroll, Sr.

US Lacrosse All-American, Academic All-American, Catholic League first-team pick and league MVP … She scored 56 goals while helping the Patriots win their 10th straight Catholic League championship and advance to the second round of the PIAA tournament … She tallied nine goals in two PIAA games, scoring six times in a win over Great Valley … She will attend the United States Naval Academy.

Abbie Hartman, North Penn, Sr.

US Lacrosse Honorable Mention All-American, Suburban One Continental first-team pick … Scored 73 goals in leading Maidens to league title and PIAA playoffs … Will play at the University of Delaware.
