Delaware All-Star Lacrosse Games: Recaps for boys, girls

Thomas Catalfamo of Delmarva Christian scored three goals to lead the White All-Stars to an 11-8 victory over the Blue team Saturday in the Delaware Lacrosse Senior All-Star Game at Rullo Stadium on the campus of the University of Delaware in Newark.

Cody Palmer of Dover High and Matt Matsko of Caesar Rodney each added two goals for the White team.

For the Blue, Charter School’s Andrew Michalowski, Reed Salmons of Wilmington Friends and Tatnall’s Jackson Keeler scored two goals each. Keeler, of Landenberg, PA, is the son of current University of Delaware football coach KC Keeler and has committed to play at Delaware.

Salesianum School’s Dan Rodgers (signed with Drexel, of West Chester) recorded 9 saves for the White squad. Archmere’s Ian Allender and Tower Hill’s Demetrius Murray each recorded 4 saves for the Blue.

White 4 1 4 2 – 11
Blue 2 1 3 2 – 8

Goals-W: Catalfamo 3, Palmer 2, Matsko 2, Hoffstadt, Zuk, Forsyth, McGreevy
B: Michalowski 2, Salmons 2, Keeler 2, Freeman, Nielson.
Assists-W: Catalfamo, Elentrio, Forsyth, Pierce, Cyron;
B: Freeman, Vattilana, Kelley.
Saves-W 9 (Rodgers), B 8 (Allender 4, Murray 4).

Girls: White 13, Blue 11
In the girls’ game, St. Andrews’ Lucinda Caldwell pumped in five goals and Christy Weaver of Wilmington Charter contributed four goals as the White Squad earned a 13-11 win over the Blue.

For the Blue squad, Caroline Holliday of Tower Hill School scored five goals and Alec Perry of Cape Henlopen added three. Corrine Palombo of Wilmington Charter recorded six saves and for the Blue team and Sarah May of Cape Henlopen posted seven saves.

White 8 5 – 13
Blue 4 7 – 11

Goals-W: Caldwell 5, Weaver 4, Mooney, Lang, McCormick, Forsthoefel; B: Holliday 5, Perry 3, Applegate, Coveleski, Kelley. Assists-W: McCormick 2, Scalia, Mooney, Weaver, Kiger; B: Holliday. Saves- W 6 (Palombo), B (May 7, Kotowski 2).
