Thursday’s girls’ roundup: Great Valley, Upper Dublin finish perfect with league titles; Abington, CRN tie for crown

Colleen O’Malley had seven goals and one assist and Sara McBride netted six goals as Great Valley defeated Sun Valley, 20-1, today to finish a perfect (18-0) regular season and clinch the Ches-Mont League championship.

Unionville 18, West Chester East 6

Julie Moran scored eight goals and notched her 100th career tally to lead the Indians to the Ches-Mont win.

Allison Tizio led East with three goals.

Bayard Rustin 11, Downingtown West 10

Abby Brewer had four goals and two assists while Julie Tatios added four goals and one assist to lead the Golden Knights to the Ches-Mont win.

Jaymie Tabor pumped in six goals for the Whippets.

Downingtown East 15, Henderson 5

Emily Solenberger scored five goals and Kelly Devlin added four goals and three assists to lead the Cougars.

Katelyn Fay led Henderson with three goals.

Upper Dublin 17, Upper Merion 6

Amy Cross collected seven goals and five assists while sister Kelly had two goals and five assists and Siobhan Brady and Emily Hitchings each scored three goals as the Cards (17-0) finished a perfect season (14-0) in the Suburban One American Conference.

Kellie Manoppello led the Vikings with three goals.

Abington 13, CR South 6

The Ghosts clinched a share of the Suburban One National Conference crown with Council Rock North as Courtney Cox had six goals and one assist and Carli Fitzgerald contributed three goals, five draw controls and two caused turnovers.

Molly Seefried added three goals and two assists and Liz Wilson had four draw controls and five groundballs for Abington.

Council Rock North – which toppled Central Bucks East 20-7 – and Abington both finished 9-1 in the league.

Council Rock North 20, CB East 7

Kara Magley scored five goals, Molly Doyle had four goals and one assist, Elly Plappert had three goals and two assists and Lindsay Rheiner added three goals and one assist while Hannah Plappert contributed two goals and an amazing eight assists as the Indians earned a share of the Suburban One National crown.

Wissahickon 18, Upper Moreland 7

Aubrey Bossert collected six goals and three assists and Emily Croke had six groundballs and two interceptions to lead the defense as the Trojans finished 16-2 overall.

For Upper Moreland, Kelly Garis had two goals and one assist while Carly Grivjack and Lily Smith each scored two goals.

Harriton 9, Archbishop Wood 7

Carli Sukonik had three goals and one assist and Laura Walzer added two goals and one assist while Jess Schwab added one goal and three assists for the Rams (12-6) in the non-league win.

Courtney Davoli and Nicole Hayes each scored twice for the Vikings.

North Penn 13, Central Bucks South 6

Abbie Hartman scored three goals and had two assists, Kaitlin Colbridge had four groundballs and Brittany Hanrahan added four draw controls for the Suburban One Continental Conference champion Maidens

Dani Horn and Halie Lear each added two goals and one assist for North Penn.

Springfield-Montco 14, Plymouth Whitemarsh 2

Sara Studdiford, Morgan Smith and Anna Studenmund each scored three goals for the Spartans in the Suburban One American win.

Souderton 16, Pennridge 12

Danielle Notvest had four goals and two assists and Lindsay Walbrandt added four goals and one assist for the Indians. Kirstin Russell and Carley Kendall each added three goals.

Pennsbury 16, Neshaminy 0

Jenna Allen scored five goals and Jennalise Taylor added four for the Falcns.
