Kyle Gillam scored with no time left in regulation and Frankie Jackson (three goals) scored the game-winner in overtime as host Sun Valley stunned Strath Haven, 10-9, Friday in a non-league boys’ lacrosse opener.

Pat Fisher’s fourth goal with 1:26 left in the fourth quarter had given the Panthers a 9-8 lead. Gillam took a feed from Bobby Clemens (three goals, two assists) and bounced one in from eight yards out to send it into OT.

Sun Valley defenseman Zach Hopkins made a key takeaway in Strath Haven’s offensive zone with less than a minute left to set up the game-tying goal. In overtime, Sam Maldou set up Jackson for the game-winner.
