George Washington sophomore midfielder Sarah Phillips (Downingtown West) was named Atlantic 10 Player of the Week, while Temple freshman Stephany Parcell (Interboro) has been named the league’s Rookie of the Week.

Phillips, last year’s A-10 Rookie of the Year, led GW with five goals and six points in a 1-1 week. She converted 5-of-7 shot attempts in two games, including 3-of-4 in a 12-11 overtime victory over American Wednesday. Her lone assist came on the game-winner with 5.2 seconds left in overtime against the Eagles. Phillips leads the Colonials with seven goals and eight points so far this season.

Parcell scored four goals over two games last week, including three in the Owls’ 12-8 win at Lafayette. Parcell scored her three goals on just four shots at Lafayette. Parcell also scored one of TU’s three goals in a loss at Rutgers in the season opener.
