Notre Dame Academy senior midfielder Bridget Burns has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at the University of Delaware.

Burns was a first-team All-Inter-Ac League and an Honorable Mention All-Phillyllacrosse.com pick last year for an Irish team that went 14-5 and tied for second in the Inter-Ac. Burns, who competed in the US Lacrosse National Tournament with the Philly 2 team in May and was named Offensive MVP for Notre Dame, collected 44 goals and 29 assists as well as 50 draw controls and 27 caused turnovers and 20 groundballs.

At Delaware, Burns will join fellow senior Philly recruits Shannon Burns (Springfield-Delco, midfield), Abbie Hartman (North Penn, attack) and Liz Wilson (Abington, midfield).

Seniors can sign National Letters of Intent during the early signing period Nov. 11-18.
