Agnes Irwin School senior midfielder Katie Nelligan and Westtown School senior defender Emilie Johnson each have committed to play Division III lacrosse at NCAA Division III champion Franklin & Marshall.

Nelligan was an honorable mention All-Inter-Ac league pick for Agnes Irwin in 2009 and will serve as captain in 2010. She scored 28 goals in 2009.

Nelligan is an active member of the athletic association at AIS and also swims for the varsity swim team. She has played for the Phantastix lacrosse club team for three years and played for the Philly 2 team at the National Tournament in May.

Johnson, also a standout soccer player, helped Westtown finish 4-4 in the Friends Schools League in 2009. She and Nelligan become the third and fourth Philly girls to commit to the Diplomats, who won their second national title in three years.

Radnor’s Ali Kelly and Amalia Antonoplos also have committed to F&M.
