Radnor senior attack players Ali Kelly and Amalia Antonoplos have each committed to play Division III lacrosse at NCAA champion Franklin & Marshall.
Kelly and Antonoplos were starters on a Red Raiders squad that went 25-1 and won the first Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) championship. Radnor also won the Central League title.
Kelly was an Honorable Mention All-Phillylacrosse.com choice in 2009 as she collected 34 goals and 29 assists. A member of the distinguished Honor Roll in 10th and 11th grades, Kelly has participated in the US Lacrosse National Tournament. She also is a captain on the Radnor field hockey team.
Antonoplos was an Academic All-American in 2009 and had 33 goals,10 assists and 40 groundballs. She also was honored as a weekly winner of the Competitive Edge/Philllyacrosse.com Underclass Honor Roll and is a member of the National Honor Society.
Kelly and Antonoplos will join another Radnor grad – junior Meredith Lussier – at Franklin & Marshall. The Diplomats went 21-1 last year and defeated Salisbury, 11-10, for the NCAA crown, their second in the last three years.
Already, six other Radnor seniors have committed to Division I colleges: Alyssa Dunlap and Ellie Kraus (Vanderbilt), Kelyn Freedman (Georgetown), Allie Martin (Penn), Andrea Feldman (Bucknell) and Courtney Campbell (Richmond).
