Conestoga rising senior defender Colleen Guinan has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Temple University.

Guinan was an Honorable Mention All-Central League choice in 2009 for a Pioneers team that finished 10-7 and reached the second round of the District 1 tournament. Guinan also played for the Philly team in the 2008 Under Armour Underclassmen Games.

At Temple, Guinan will play for coach Bonnie Rosen, a Harriton High graduate who this year was inducted into the Eastern Pennsylvania Chapter of the US Lacrosse Hall of Fame.

Guinan is the third Pioneer to commit to a Division I college. Amanda Norcini (midfielder) has committed to Drexel and Theresa Brady (midfielder/attack) has committed to Old Dominion.

Student-athletes in the rising senior class can sign a National Letter of Intent during the early signing period, Nov. 11-18.
