Three Philly women are finalists for 2009 National Lacrosse Hall of Fame induction

Three Philadelphia women – contributor Michele LeFevre Doyle, World Cup player Cheri Greer and umpireJennifer O’Donnell – are on the list of 24 individuals announced as finalists for induction for 2009 in the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame, US Lacrosse announced today.

It is from these ballots that the respective National Lacrosse Hall of Fame voting committees will select the 2009 induction class. US Lacrosse will announce the final class of inductees on Saturday, May 23.

The mission of the Lacrosse Hall of Fame is to honor men and women, past and present, who by their deeds as players, coaches, officials and/or contributors, and by the example of their lives, personify the great contribution of the sport of lacrosse to our way of life. The National Lacrosse Hall of Fame is housed in the Lacrosse Museum in Baltimore, Md.
