Rattlers sting Barrage in MLL contest, 20-17

Rochester scored five of the game’s final six goals to claim a 20-17 victory over the Philadelphia Barrage Saturday in Major League Lacrosse action at Cary, N.C.

Casey Powell had three goals and five assists for the Rattlers (4-2) to earn game MVP honors. Joe Walters added five goals while Jeff Zywicki and Brett Bucktooth added four apiece. Zywicki and Bucktooth each had two goals in the late rally.

Ryan Boyle and Matt Striebel each had four goals for the two-time defending champion Barrage (3-3) and Peter Trombino had three goals, including a two-pointer. Brian Dougherty (Episcopal Academy) made 13 saves, but suffered the loss.
