Week 2 results from Arrowhead Summer League

Here are the results from Week 2 at the Arrowhead Summer League from Cairn University:

Week 2

Philly Phresh 6, CRN 3

In the first game of the evening, Philly Phresh (a mix team of Father Judge, Conwell Egan, & Archbishop Ryan) led the entire game to go to 2-0 , defeating CR North (1-1), 6-3.  The team was led defensively by senior Gavin Amulung (Father Judge) with 6 saves, frustrating CRN shooters all night.  On the offensive side, Philly Phresh was led by sophomore Kevin Purcell (Father Judge) scoring 3 goals.

Purple Cobras 12,Truman 0

The second game of the night saw the Purple Cobras even their record at 1-1, defeating Truman (0-2), 12-0. Several members of the Cobras (a mix team of Hatboro-Horsham, Holy Ghost Prep, Neshaminy, & North Penn) scored multiple goals, including junior Gavin McDonough of Holy Ghost Prep with (4g, 3a.)  Defensively senior Gabriel Reavis (Hatboro Horsham) LSM frustrated the Truman transition all night, while senior Gavin Amulung (Father Judge) had 3 saves while playing in a guest spot for the squad.  

Pennsbury 7, Viking Hawks 5

The final game of the evening saw Pennsbury even its record at 1-1, defeating the Viking Hawks (also 1-1), 7-5.  This game was close all evening with the Viking Hawks (a mix team of CR South and Archbishop Wood) leading most of the way until Pennsbury broke it open late in the game.  Senior Mike DeZuttle was key to the comeback victory, earning several key faceoff wins at the end, while also scoring 2g, 2a.  Additionally, sophomore Logan Thorne scored 2g to help the Falcons earn the win.
