Shootout for Soldiers (SFS) Philadelphia is looking for a passionate, energetic leader to help spearhead the next phase of Shootout for Soldiers Philadelphia.
SFS is a 24-hour lacrosse event benefiting American veterans. From 2012, It has taken place in 16 cities across the country raising over $5.5 million. Since its inception in Philadelphia in 2017, Episcopal has hosted four SFS Philly events and raised over $300,000!
Chris Bates, EA and PLL Archers’ coach, has served as the local Volunteer Chair. “SFS Philly is an absolutely amazing event that brings our lacrosse community together to support a wonderful cause,” he said. “Veterans have served to protect our nation’s freedoms. It’s a no brainer to use the game we all love to give back to them. SFS Philly is one of my favorite days of the year!”
Shootout for Soldiers Philadelphia seeks volunteer leadership to bring new ideas and energy to this important initiative. Critical responsibilities are overseeing: the organization of a volunteer effort to secure teams, help the SFS national organization manage the event(s), and solicit sponsorship support.
