Robinson (14 saves) helps No. 1 Archbishop Carroll edge No. 5 Penn Charter, 10-9, to improve to 17-0

Bridget Robinson made 14 saves in goal to lead host Archbishop Carroll to a 10-9 win over Penn Charter Tuesday in non-league girls’ lacrosse action, improving the No. 1-ranked Patriots to 17-0 with one regular season game to play.

Penn Charter (15-5, No. 5) rallied to tie the game late in the second half at 8-8 on three consecutive goals by Darcy Felter (4G, 2A, 7DC, 2GB). But Kiley Mottice (2G, 1A) and Ava Bleckley (2G, 2DC) each scored to give Carroll a 10-8 lead.

Michaela Henry added two goals for the Patriots. Charlotte Hodgson had three goals and two assists for Penn Charter.

Carroll closes its regular season Thursday at home vs. Springfield-Delco.
