Devon Wills, the Head Coach for Harvard Women’s Lacrosse, announced the addition of seven members to the team in the class of 2026.
Four of the incoming first-years hail from New York, with two others coming from Pennsylvania, and one hailing from Maryland.
Last season, Harvard (7-8, 4-3 Ivy) made its first appearance in the Ivy League Tournament since the 2017 season and its seventh appearance in program history. The Crimson clinched a bid into postseason play in thrilling fashion, defeating Brown, 15-14, on Senior Day with a last-minute defensive stop. Harvard placed six student-athletes on All-Ivy teams.

Four-year letter winner at midfield for William Penn Charter…Team captain in 2022…Helped lead team to 2022 PAISAA Championship…Two-time Academic All-American…USA Lacrosse National Development Team Program selection…Two-time First Team All-League honoree…William Penn Charter’s Phi Beta Kappa Award winner…Also lettered in soccer and indoor track.
Maggie Turner l Defense l Bryn Mawr, Pa. l William Penn Charter School
Three-year letter winner at midfield and defense for William Penn Charter…Team captain in 2022…Three-time Under Armour All-American…PASLA All-Academic honoree…Two-time participant at US Lacrosse National Tournament…Earned American Association of Physics Teachers Award…Also lettered in cross country, track and field, and field hockey.
Despina Giannakopoulos l Defense l Manhasset, N.Y. l Manhasset Secondary School
Four-year letter winner at defense for Manhasset…Team captain in 2022…Helped lead Manhasset to New York State Class C Championship in 2022…Two-time Academic All-American…Named a Top-20 defender on Long Island by Newsday…All-Nassau County honoree…Also a three-year letter winner in field hockey, where she was team captain and an All-State award winner in her senior year.

Six-year letter winner at midfield for North Shore…Team captain in 2022…Two-time USA Lacrosse Academic All-American…USA Lacrosse Jackie Pitts Award winner for service to team, school, and community…Honorable Mention All-American…Two-time All-Nassau County selection…North Shore High School Valedictorian…Earned Harvard College Book Prize…Also lettered in basketball and cross country, captaining the basketball team in 2022.
Kate Izzo l Midfield/Attack l Auburn, N.Y. l Auburn High School
Five-year letter winner at midfield and attack for Auburn….Team captain in 2022…Helped lead team to sectional title…Two-time selection to Under Armour All-America Upstate NY Team…Two-time All-League honoree…2022 Victory Sports Medicine & Orthopedics Scholarship Award winner…Also lettered in cross country, track, and tennis…A three-time All-League honoree in track and cross country.
