The Philadelphia Wings will face off against the Albany FireWolves this Saturday at 7:00 p.m. ET in New York in a game full of playoff implications. Exclusive local coverage of the Wings matchup will air on The CW Philly (CW57) and can be streamed on ESPN+.
For the Wings, it’s simple: Win and they’re in. The Wings are currently 8-8, good enough for 5th in the NLL East and the Wild Card spot which would position them as the 4-seed on the NLL West side of the bracket. With a win this Saturday, the Wings would guarantee a spot in the tournament, as they could then finish no worse than the Wild Card position or as high as the 3-seed in the East. Meanwhile the FireWolves are currently 6th in the East, and would jump the Wings in the standings for now with a win.
“Clinching a spot in the playoffs is the next step for this organization. We feel like our group is hitting its stride at the right time, so we’re excited to head up to Albany for what should be a great matchup,” said Marc Zamarin, President of the Wings. “We know the Loyal, Loud, & Proud will be watching and supporting us from all over.”
