Alexa Capozzoli collected four goals, an assist, two draw controls, two groundballs and a caused turnover and Bella Piselli contributed two goals and four draw controls as host Episcopal Academy downed Germantown Academy, 14-12, Tuesday to clinch the Inter-Ac League outright championship.
EA (ranked No. 2 by Phillylacrosse.com and No. 1 among private schools in PA) is 18-2 overall and 10-1 in the Inter-Ac, two games ahead of Penn Charter. EA closes its season today vs. Baldwin School and will not compete in the state independent schools tournament due to scheduling conflicts.
Lainey McGonagle added two goals for EA while Sydney Richter had a goal, six draws and two groundballs while Quinn Whitaker added a goal, three draws and two groundballs and Grace Holland posted 9 saves in goal.
