Eastern University men’s Coach Kevin Wallace (Avon Grove) announced that Joe Karpinski has joined the Eastern University Men’s Lacrosse staff to work with goalies and faceoff specialists.

Karpinski brings tremendous expertise and a wealth of high level experience. He comes to Eastern after five years on the Villanova University sidelines in the same role.

Before his time at Villanova Karpinski spent four years at Division II Chestnut Hill College serving as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator.  On the field, his main responsibilities included working with the faceoff specialists and goalies. He also spent time in the same role at Ursinus College. Karpinski spent six years working at Downingtown East High School where faceoffs were constantly over 70% each year.

Originally from Plattsburgh, N.Y., Karpinski was a long stick midfielder at the University of New Haven.

“I have spent my career coaching at all levels,” Karpinski said. “I look forward to working with the Eastern University players and staff.”

“He [Karpinski] is a tremendous addition to our staff,” Wallace said. “We understand the importance of both these specialist positions and having a coach with his knowledge and experience will help our players in those spots to excel and ultimately help us succeed. I am really thrilled that he is with us for the start of fall ball.”

Eastern Men’s Lacrosse began its non-traditional season this week.
