Black Bear Lacrosse Club is hosting a FREE CLINIC on Saturday February 26th 7-9pm at 422Sports in Pottstown, PA for Girls grades K-8.
Lacrosse is the fastest-growing sport, and the girls’ game is no exception. Black bear directors are excited to invite more athletes to the Black Bear family by offering girls’ lacrosse camps and clinics.
Making this move possible are the addition of two new team members – Dulcie Rothermel and Gabi Umstead.
422 SportsPlex in Pottstown PA
February 26 from 7-9 pm
K-8 Girls (Athletes will be grouped by age/skill level)
Free with 422 SportsPlex Membership ($3 for one day and can be purchased the day of the clinic)
The goals of the clinic are to:
Practice fundamentals of catching, throwing, and ground balls
Improve your skills – regardless of experience
Learn position-specific skills for offense and defense
Rothermel previously coached with Boyertown High School’s varsity lacrosse and field hockey teams, Owen J. Roberts High School’s varsity lacrosse team, and 380 Lacrosse Club. As a player, she dominated as a 4-year starter for NCAA Division II West Chester, leading them to a national championship and earning the title of All-American.
Umstead currently coaches for BYC Jags Lacrosse in Delaware County, and has experience coaching players of all ages and abilities after her work with Parkville Adaptive Lacrosse, Maryland School for the Blind, Little Lacrosse Academy, and Brandywine Youth Club. She was a 4-year starter for NCAA Division III Goucher College where her senior season ended unexpectedly early due to COVID-19.
