From Press Release
The Saint Joseph’s men’s lacrosse program will be holding a free community clinic and its alumni game on Saturday, October 2 at Sweeney Field, head coach Taylor Wray announced Tuesday.
The clinic is open to boys kindergarten through eighth grade and will start with check-in at 10:45 a.m. at Sweeney Field. Instruction will run from 11 a.m. to noon. Full pads are required for grades three through eight, with helmets and gloves only for kindergarten through second.
“The community clinic has been a great way to give back to the Philadelphia lacrosse community that has supported us through the years and made Sweeney field such an electric place to play in the spring,” Wray said. “Our team could not be more excited to have the future of Philly lacrosse back on Hawk Hill.”

The alumni game will commence at 1 p.m. with free admission to the general public. A group of select Hawks alumni will take on the current Hawks roster. All other alumni not playing in the game, are invited to watch and join the coaching staff at a happy hour following the game.
“Our alumni are the heart of our program,” Wray said. “They have laid the foundation for our current and future teams to set championship goals for themselves and have also been integral in helping those who have come after in the job market. This game is an opportunity for our current team to compete against someone else for the first time as well as a celebration of those alumni who have made Saint Joseph’s lacrosse into what it is today.”
Playing in the game for the alumni team will be 11 former All-Conference players, including current Philadelphia Wings defenseman, Anthony Joaqium, and former Defensive Player of the Year, TJ Jones. A full list of alumni players can be found below.
Coaching the alumni team will be recent graduate, Thomas Halm ’21, and former team captains, Pat Sinnott ’12 and Will Farrell ’15.
