The Pennsylvania Roughriders announce two additions to the coaching staff. Eric Jackson, who spent nearly two decades as the head coach at Avon Grove, and was twice named Phillylacrosse.com Coach of the Year and 2017 State Champion joins the program working with the High School teams,
Also joining the staff is Ross Dickerson, who is following his stellar career at the University of Tampa where he garnered Division 2 Player of the Year honors for his dominant play at the Faceoff X and in the field as a defensive midfielder. Dickerson will work with Roughrider youth programs.
These two additions join an elite staff including:
Doug Corrigan, Captain UVA, Program Director; Trey Wilkes, University of Delaware Assistant – Fall Offensive skills coordinator; Paul Zelenak, Episcopal Academy Assistant, Drexel – Offensive Coordinator Pat Heim, Penn State All American. MLL – Offensive Skills; Jeff Poake, Bishop Shanahan, Offensive Skills; Sean Donnelly, Drexel University, Offensive Skills; Jack Twohig, Siena University 2X Captain, HS All American, Defensive Coordinator; Raf Furey, Episcopal Assistant, BU, Defensive Skills; Tom Siefert, Shanahan, Defensive Skills; Dan Lanham – Drexel University FOGO – Director of Faceoffs; Mike Lanham – St. Joe’s FOGO – Faceoff skills
According to Coach Corrigan “Each fall we work with our players in an intense clinic style format, from 2030 on up to High School, each player will work with these coaches to expand and develop their game. We take pride in developing players and invest our time and resources in making our kids the best they can be. In addition, the Roughrider organization has put over 300 players on NCAA teams.
“Coach Jackson has helped hundreds of kids reach their potential, and will be an invaluable resource for our teams and fits right into our approach to development. Our coaches are guys who’ve played at a high level, have connections and understand what it takes to succeed.”
