Phillylacrosse Girls’ Rankings: District 1 champion Unionville takes over No. 1 spot

  1. Unionville (20-2) – Last week: No. 5. The Longhorns won the District 1 AAA title, their first district crown since 1992. They open PIAA play Tuesday vs. Ches-Mont League foe Great Valley.
  2. Garnet Valley (19-3) – Last week: No. 3. The District 1 runner-up Jaguars open PIAA AAA play Tuesday vs. District 3 third-place Manheim Township.
  3. Radnor (18-2) – Last week: No. 3. The Raiders finished third in District 1 AAA and meet District 3 runner-up South Western in their PIAA opener.
  4. Conestoga (17-2-1) – Last week: No. 1. The Pioneers look to rebound from two District 1 AAA losses Tuesday vs. District 11 champion Easton.
  5. Owen J. Roberts (19-1) – Last week: No. 8. The Wildcats open PIAA Class AAA action as the No. 5 seed from District 1 vs. Public League entry Central High.
  6. Agnes Irwin (15-4) – Last week: No. 4. The Owls won an 8-7 contest over Penn Charter for the Inter-Ac League title.
  7. Penn Charter (18-2-1) – Last week: No. 6. The Quakers fell to Agnes Irwin in the Inter-Ac League finals.
  8. Archbishop Carroll (16-4) – Last week: No. 7. The Patriots rolled to their 20th straight Catholic League championship and will face Mount St. Joseph, the District 1 No. 4 seed in the first round of the PIAA tourney.
  9. Bishop Shanahan (15-3) – Last week: No. 9. The Eagles followed up winning their first Ches-Mont League title with their first District 1 (AA) crown. They open Tuesday in PIAA play vs. District 2 runner-up Lake Lehman.
  10. Cape Henlopen-DE (18-1) – Last week: No. 11. The Vikings won their 12th straight Delaware state title with a 17-10 win over Tatnall School.
  11. Haddonfield (13-1) – Last week: No. 12. The Bulldawgs have the top seed in the South Jersey Group 1 tourney and open Tuesday vs. Collingswood.
  12. Moorestown (13-2) – Last week: No. 15. The Quakers have the top seed in South Jersey Group 3 play and have a first-round bye.
  13. York Catholic (18-1) – Last week: Unranked. The Irish dealt Twin Valley a 14-8 defeat for the District 3 AA title and open state play Tuesday vs. Blackhawk, the second-place finisher from District 7.
  14. Great Valley (15-6) – Last week: Unranked. The Patriots claimed the No. 6 and final state berth in District 1 AAA and face district champ Unionville in the first round of states.
  15. (tie) Easton (17-0) – Last week: Unranked. The Rovers won the District 11 AAA crown and open state play Tuesday Vs. Conestoga. Wilson (17-4) – Last week: Unranked. The Bulldogs won the District 3 AAA title and open PIAA play vs, District 7 No. 3 finisher Sewickley Academy.
