The Phillylacrosse.com Rankings for May 1:

  1. Malvern Prep (11-1) – Last week: No. 1. The Friars play at No. 2 Episcopal Academy Tuesday in a key Inter-Ac League contest.
  2. Episcopal Academy (6-2) – Last week: No. 9. The Churchmen made a big move after toppling Haverford School, 12-5, and improving to 5-1 in the Inter-Ac League.
  3. Haverford School (8-4) – Last week: No. 2. The Fords downed Garnet Valley Saturday in the 2nd Annual 10VE Cup, 13-5.
  4. La Salle (11-1) – Last week: No. 3. The Explorers handled Manheim Township, 15-6.
  5. Radnor (11-1) – Last week: No. 4. The Raiders play Tuesday at Garnet Valley in a game that figures to decide the Central League championship.
  6. Garnet Valley (11-2) – Last week: No. 5. The Jaguars host Radnor Tuesday in a showdown of undefeated Central League teams.
  7. Salesianum School-DE (8-2) – Last week: No. 6. The Sals gave No. 1 Malvern Prep a battle until bowing, 12-7.
  8. Conestoga (8-4) – Last week: No. 7. It appears the Pioneers – now with two league losses – will be dethroned after winning the past four Central League titles, no small task.
  9. Kennett (11-0) – Last week: No. 8. The Demons have two big road games this week in the Ches-Mont League, Tuesday at West Chester Rustin and Thursday at Downingtown West.
  10. Academy of the New Church (8-5) – Last week: No. 10. The Lions battled La Salle before falling, 13-8.
  11. Wissahickon (9-3) – Last week: No 12. The Trojans have a big Suburban One American game Tuesday at Upper Dublin and then travels to Ches-Mont League co-leader Downingtown East on Thursday.
  12. Springfield-Delco (8-3) – Last week: No. 11. The Cougars host Strath Haven Tuesday and travel to Conestoga Thursday.
  13. Strath Haven (8-2) – Last week: No. 13. The Panthers toppled Penncrest, 9-7.
  14. Germantown Academy (5-5) – Last week: No. 14. The Patriots edged Penn Charter, 6-5.
  15. Downingtown East (11-1) – Last week: No. 15. The Cougars host Dwningtown West Tuesday in a cross-town rival showdown of undefeated Ches-Mont League teams.
