In what is being called “The Forever Game” due to numerous weather delays, Great Valley defeated West Chester, 9-7, last week at Kelly Field to claim the Chester County Lacrosse 7/8 AA Boys Championship.

The game was suspended after three and a half quarters due to storms on Monday, June 14 with Great Valley leading, 7-5. It was finished on Thursday, June 17.

Logan Turley led Great Valley with four goals and two assists while Eric MacMillan scored a goal and assisted on four more, including the game winner on a fastbreak to Eamon Cochran (two goals, one on a behind-the-back shot). Aedan McLees and Will Linko each contributed one goal apiece.

Defensively, Great Valley stood out against a strong West Chester offense behind key efforts from Paul Bruder, Evan MacFarland, Davis Reilly, Dylan Matthews, Richie Bruder and the strong goaltending of Jack Donovan.  Great Valley’s Logan Turley and Tommy Lavin held their own at the Faceoff X to win a fair share of the faceoffs.
