Germantown Friends School is offering two lacrosse camps for players who want to improve their game this summer.
The first camp, Girls Lacrosse, offers something for everyone from beginners to advanced players. The camp, which will run 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. from June 14-18, is for girls rising to grades 2-9.
The program will focus on skill-building, with a major emphasis on stick work, positional play, defensive footwork, and game concepts.
The second camp, Lacrosse: Go to Goal will run from June 21-25 and is for girls rising to grades 5-9. This camp will focus on crease play, shot selection, and penalty shots, in addition to strategy and game fundamentals. Goalie-specific training will be offered during both camps.
Campers who don’t want the fun to end at 12:30 p.m. are invited to enroll either in After Athletics Camp to enjoy even more Lacrosse action or to participate in other fun activity options such as Yoga, Art, or Fitness. Alternatively, Lacrosse campers can opt to register for the Afternoon Golf Program at Walnut Lane, which offers instruction for players of all skill levels.
