From Press Release

University of Cincinnati lacrosse attacker Monica Borzillo (Conestoga) was named the US Lacrosse Division I Player of the Week on Tuesday.

Borzillo – the 2016 Phillylacrosse.com Co-Player of the Year for the state champion Pioneers – was named the American Athletic Conference Attacker of the Week on Monday, following UC’s 20-19, season-opening win over Marquette on Sunday, which saw the Bearcats score three goals in the final four minutes to secure the come-from-behind victory.

Borzillo scored two of UC’s final three goals and totaled five on the day. She tied her own AAC, school and career marks with six assists and 11 points, also adding two draw controls with no turnovers. Borzillo shares the AAC single-game mark for points with Sydney Pirreca from Florida and the record for assists with three others.
