Butler women’s lacrosse head coach Cecil C. Pilson has added Karli Gilbert (Boyertown) as an assistant coach. Gilbert is a recent graduate of Lock Haven.
Gilbert joins the Butler staff after recently finishing her playing career at Lock Haven University. As a student-athlete, Gilbert was a midfielder who scored 15 goals in 2021.
Gilbert started in nine of the 11 matches on the schedule, helping her team secure four victories. Gilbert started in every game during the 2020 season. She scored nine goals and won 21 draw controls during a shortened season. The year before Gilbert would appear in four contests before coming down with an injury. She scored 12 goals over those four contests. In 2018 Gilbert started in 17 of 18 games and scored 23 goals. She was credited with 23 ground balls and 23 draw controls.
A native of Perkiomenville, Gilbert graduated from Boyertown in 2016. She was part of three conference championships and was tabbed team MVP before attending Lock Haven.
