Skills Clinics

Pro Clinic for boys on Jan. 12 at Main Line Sports Center in Berwyn. The clinic, held from 12-1:30 p.m. will feature elite instruction on Offensive vs. defense with goalies for all ages. Clinicians will include Callum Robinson (defense) of the Atlan LC, Springfield-Delco and Penn State grad Drew Adams (goalie) of Archers LC and Malvern Prep and Penn State grad Matt Mackrides, a 4X MLL All-Star. Training Description: This training is for boys offensive players, defensive players, and goalies interested in receiving coaching from Coach Matt Mackrides, Coach Callum Robinson and Drew Adams. Boys players at all ages are welcome to join this training. Keating Lacrosse’s “Developing Off-Ball Movement” Clinic (Grades 5 to 8) on Jan, 18 at XL Sports World in Cherry Hill, N.J. Time: 8AM-10AM. Grades: 5th-8th grades (boys)
Click here to register.  Details: For two hours, clinic participants will be provided outstanding instruction on how to create offensive opportunities without the ball. The clinicians have extensive experience teaching and playing the game at the collegiate level. This clinic is for players of any level. The clinic will emphasize different drills that teach off-ball movement. Long Poles are encouraged to attend. We will not shoot on goalies. Goalie Training

NetNation Winter Winter Goalie School 2020 (for boys and girls 9-to-17) at Springside Chestnut Hill Academy. Goalie school is all about getting you ready for your spring season. Brian Dougherty, Drew Adams and the elite NetNation staff break down techniques and corrects habits so you can dominate. Live shots, film/chalk talk and drills. Come graduation day, you’ll have the confidence to step between the pipes on March 1st to begin your spring season. When: Sundays 9:00 am – 12:00 pm; Feb 2nd, Feb 9th, Feb 16th, Feb 23rd & Mar 1st. Where: Springside Chestnut Hill Academy, 500 W. Youth Clinics

West Chester Lacrosse Association 2020 Boys Winter Skills Clinics at Westtown School. The foundation of the clinic is a high-level instruction to hone core fundamental skills in a fun environment. It is open to all beginners of any area (Grades 1 to 8) who want to try a new sport as well as experienced players looking to cultivate their game. Boys Winter Skills Clinic will be lead by lacrosse coaches John Nostrant, Pete Borror, & John Borror of the Mesa Lacrosse Club. Clinics are staffed with standout local high school and collegiate players. Box Leagues

Steelyard Sports’ Winter Youth Box Leagues. Games are weekly on Saturdays starting January 4th. Games are played in a brand new heated facility with an official box lacrosse arena with full glass and boards, brand new turf, a terrific spectator area with WIFI, and full glass and boards. Winter Training

Black Bear’s 2020 Winter Instructional League on Saturday mornings starting January 4. The sessions are geared towards intermediate to advanced players in grades 5th-8th that have at least 1+ years experience playing lacrosse. Players that attend should be able to pass and catch and have a basic understanding of their lacrosse position. The sessions are geared to help players advance their understanding and execution of team and transition concepts. Players will be exposed to challenging team drills that will improve their lacrosse IQ, decision making, and ability to execute team and transition offense/defense concepts. Head coaches Grady Wise of Boyertown and Bryan Churchey of Perkiomen Valley will lead the instruction. REGISTER TODAY. Individual Skills Include: Shooting technique, Individual dodging, Defensive approaches, Defending different areas on the field. NXT Play Fast – Play Fast, a four-week program, is geared toward 7-14-year-olds who want to fine-tune their skills and elevate their game. NXT’s professional, high-level coaches work directly with players through a carefully-designed curriculum to challenge all skill levels. Players go through four 90-minute weekly sessions of fast-paced, high-energy drills, short lines and lots of small-sided games! Boys and girls Play Fast training run simultaneously at Main Line Sports Center in Berwyn and offer 3 sessions this winter in January and February. NXT Lacrosse Academy – The NXT Lacrosse Academy (NLA) is an elite winter training for high-performing lacrosse players driven to take their game even higher. The program matches a player’s intensity with small-group, position-based instruction built on Division I training curriculum. This isn’t time to run through the motions in your average drill. The goal is measurable improvement and we’re looking for the area’s most talented and intense players who are committed to getting to the next level. Confirmed college coaches for Boys NXT Lacrosse Academy include University of Delaware, Neumann, Cabrini, Hartford and Temple. Boys NLA will follow a new format for the winter offering training every other week beginning January 12th to allow athletes to participate in other winter commitments. There will also be a committed program for the 2020 and 2021 classes that will coincide with the high school training. Starting January 12. Saturdays. NXT Box Academy – The NXT Box Academy program is designed to introduce & educate elementary school and middle school players to the benefits of playing indoor lacrosse. Players will learn to execute the 2 man game, will demonstrate more efficient stick skills, learn to excel in tight spaces, to be more creative without the ball, and box will challenge all players to be a more complete player. Our goal is to inspire the next generation of American box players. The professional box game is growing 2 to 3 times as fast as the field game. The world-class coaching staff is comprised of Coach Peter Lawrence, Brett Manney, Tony Resch, Bill Leahy, Marty Kupprion, and Scott Johnson. The NXT Box Academy is open to players from any club team ages 7-14 and will be held on Mondays from 6:30 – 8:00 PM at Steelyard Sports Complex beginning January 6th. The Launch 2.0, at Maplezone, is an event designed specifically for youth rec programs to celebrate the start of their seasons with competitive game play at an intimate premier facility where all games are played on turf. The divisions are as followed: 14U/ 8th grade, 14U/ 7th grade, 12U/ 6th grade, and 12U/ 5th grade. Spring tourneys

The Crown 2.0, at MapleZone, Start the summer travel club circuit of tournaments at this premier event, The Crown 2.0. This tournament is designed for 2024-2027 boy’s club teams and will provide a one of a kind experience for all who attend. Winners of this tournament will receive an embroidered Under Armour backpack and will get to practice cutting down the net to take a piece of it home. The Crown 2.0 provides a stress free environment for parents, players, and coaches.
