3/23/12 – Boys’ lacrosse: Conestoga second-half rally helps Pioneers stun No. 1 Calvert Hall, 11-10

TOWSON, Md. – Conestoga used a stunning six-goal run in the second half tonight to rally past MIAA power Calvert Hall, 11-10, in a game that could vault the Pioneers into the spot as the top-ranked high school boys’ lacrosse team in the nation.

Conestoga senior Bradlee Lord scored his fifth goal of the game with 2:20 to play off a feed from Connor Frisina to cap a comeback for the ages as Conestoga opened its season by toppling the No. 1 team in all three major polls.

The Pioneers, the two-time Pennsylvania state champions, entered play ranked No. 2 by Under Armour and No. 4 by MaxPreps.com. They will benefit in the rankings by a 5-4 loss by Haverford School to Landon School.

3/23/13 – Boys’ lacrosse: La Salle topples DeMatha (MD) in ‘Fallen Heroes Game’ in DC

WASHINGTON D.C. – Matt Rambo had three goals and two assists and Jeff Cimbalista added three goals while Jack Altieri dominated at the face-off X as La Salle College High (PA) defeated DeMatha Catholic (MD), 9-6, tonight in the annual “Fallen Heroes Game” at Catholic University.

The game honors the memory of two true American heroes: First LT. Travis Manion (La Salle), who died in Iraq in 2007; and his best friend and roommate from the US Naval Academy, Navy SEAL, Lt. Brendan Looney (DeMatha), who died in Afghanistan in 2010.

3/23/15 – .@FusionLax boys’ HS roundup: @devils_lax, @UDcardsLax @ANCLacrosse, LC open with wins

Stephen Cyron and Bryce Reid each had three goals and an assist and Paul Rafferty scored three times as visiting Avon Grove claimed a 12-6 victory today over Ridley in an non-league opener.

Jon Moroz had two goals and an assist and Doug Jones added a goal and an assist while Jake Pousson dished three assists for the Devils. Liam Brodie posted 11 saves. Brock Anderson scored twice for Ridley.
