Lehigh’s Dickey (Conestoga) earns Patriot honors

Following a career performance on Saturday, Lehigh women’s lacrosse junior midfielder Sondra Dickey (Conestoga) was named Patriot League Midfielder of the Week on Monday. Dickey enjoyed a tremendous game in Lehigh’s 15-7 win over UMBC, posting a career-high six goals and adding an assist for a seven-point performance. She also had three groundballs, three draw controls and a game-high three caused turnovers versus the Retrievers.

Dickey recorded a natural hat trick during Saturday’s contest, coming at a pivotal time. Her three straight scores turned the game from a 6-6 tie into a 9-6 lead. This performance sparked a 9-1 Mountain Hawk run to end the contest.

Dickey leads Lehigh in goals (14), points (18), groundballs (tied, 8), draw controls (17) and caused turnovers (10) on the season. She has recorded multiple goals in each of the Mountain Hawks’ four games this season.
